Young players shine in the IPL, catching everyone's attention with their impressive skills.

After a strong IPL season, a player gets close to joining India's ODI and T20 teams.

IPL has become a key pathway for players aiming to represent India in ODI and T20 cricket.

Dinesh Mongia stands out as an exception. He played for Team India in T20 Internationals without an IPL appearance.

In India's first T20I match against South Africa in 2006, Mongia was the highest scorer with 38 runs.

However, BCCI banned Mongia in 2008 for playing in the Indian Cricket League (ICL).

While the BCCI lifted the bans on other players, Mongia remained sidelined and couldn't play any official matches after his ban.

Throughout his 6-year international career, Mongia played 57 ODIs, scoring 1230 runs and taking 14 wickets for India.
