Connaught Place, often referred to as CP, is a bustling commercial and heritage centre in the heart of Delhi, built during the British colonial era in the early 20th century.

Designed by Robert Tor Russell, it's known for its distinctive circular layout, inspired by the Royal Crescent in Bath, England, and named after the Duke of Connaught.

CP is home to numerous shops, restaurants, cafes, and offices, making it a prime destination for shopping, dining, and business activities.

Beyond its commercial significance, CP also hosts cultural events, art exhibitions, and performances, attracting both locals and tourists.

With its central location, CP is well-connected to other parts of Delhi through the Delhi Metro, buses, and taxis, making it easily accessible for both residents and visitors alike.

Legally, the true owner of this area is the Government of India. Prior to independence, many of the properties in this location were rented out at relatively low rates.
